We are now able to offer stock replacement door panels, seat covers and stainless steel trim garnishing for most March’61-1967 standard and Deluxe Micro Bus models. Never before has an interior been available for buses with a look identical to that of the original. In order to accommodate walk-thru and bench seat models, two door panel kits must be purchased in order to complete the entire interior panel system. The main door panel kit consists of a 10-piece kit, and fits walk-thru and bench seat models. The partition panel kit includes the remainder of the panels, plus loose vinyl material to upholster various areas of the interior. For Bench seat models, the spare tire panel is not included, however loose vinyl is included in order to recover.

A Word about Seat Covers and Door Panels

All working class and Kombi's through 1967 were equipped from the factory with a very basic interior. These models used grey tar impregnated paperboard headlining, door panels and kick panels. The seat covers were very basic as well, but varied slightly depending upon the year. Through 1958, these models utilized black vinyl seat covers. 1959-1962 models utilized grey vinyl seat covers. 1963-1964 models still featured grey vinyl, and added off-white piping to the mix. 1965-1967 models used mesh grey seat covers (commonly referred to as “salt and pepper”) with accenting piping. Standard Micro Bus and Deluxe Micro Bus models featured a very complex interior component system. The seat covers and door panels were decorated with sewn or heat seamed pleating (depending upon the year) and utilized piping which accentuated the upholstery color. Door panels featured a two-tone vinyl combination that coordinated the seat covers, and were adorned with aluminum trim garnishing.
